Efficient knowledge sharing is increasingly a predictor of an enterprise’s success in meeting wider business goals. Océ is organized around dedicated business lines that maintain the big-picture mentality to apply solutions across the enterprise for our customers. So both corporate as well as commercial printing enterprises get the document workflows they need to compete.

Who is eligible?
Océ provides a scholarship for talented master‘s students. Applicants have to be admitted to one of the master’s programs of the School of Business and Economics starting in September 2013. Candidates applying for this scholarship must have interest in and affinity for the document services and printing industry. The student is invited at the Document Services Valley (open innovation center in the city of Venlo, Océ site) for completing the thesis project, under the guidance of professors of the School of Business and Economics.
Candidates must have met all the requirements of the application procedure. Applicants must come from a country outside the EU/EEA and meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands.

The deadline for submitting a scholarship application is 1 March 2013. In order to be eligible for a scholarship, you need to be admitted to a master’s programme. This means that we need a complete file, for the Msc programme also, before 1 March 2013.

Therefore we advise students to take the gmat- or gre, Toefl/Ielts test before 10th February. Please include your scholarship application in your master’s application and upload this document in the category ‘Apply for Scholarship’ in My UM. We will not be able to  take your application into consideration if we receive it via regular mail or e-mail.

The Faculty will rank the scholarship candidates. The Maastricht University Scholarship Committee and University Fund Limburg will make the final decision. Applicants will be informed about the selection outcome mid April.

For the scholarship assessment, the Scholarship Committee takes all elements of the application into account, including the level of previous study programmes, academic excellence, motivation, status of the home institution, the connection with the prior study programme, future career plans and the references.

Scholarship application:
To obtain a scholarship, you must have been accepted to a study programme. Please note that you have to send in your scholarship application before you have been accepted for the study programme. We advise you to apply for the study programme and the scholarship at the same time!

Selection process
All Master’s programme and scholarship applications will be assessed by the Faculty at which the student has applied. First of all, the Faculty will assess the Master’s application. Once the student is accepted for a Master’s programme, the Faculty will assess the scholarship application. The Faculty will send a list with eligible candidates to the Maastricht University selection committee. This committee will make the definitive selection of the nominated candidates.
All students who have applied for a Maastricht University scholarship will be informed about the outcome of the selection procedure early May.
Students who have been awarded a scholarship, will receive an official acceptance letter, which must be signed and returned to the Scholarship Office.

StuNed, Studeren in Nederland, is a scholarship programme focusing on mid-career professionals, as part of the bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and the Netherlands. The scholarship programme aims to contribute to the development of Indonesia through strengthening the human resources of Indonesian organisations. Individual applicants may apply for master degree or short courses in the Netherlands, whilst institutions may apply through the StuNed Group Application.

The StuNed programme is supporting the Dutch policy for development co-operation with Indonesia and aims to contribute to the achievement of the UN Millennium Development Goals in 2015. The framework for the bilateral relations between the Netherlands government with Indonesia is laid down in the Multi-Annual Policy Framework 2012-2015 which covers 5 prioritized sectors namely water management, food security, economic sector, judicial sector, and human rights.  The overall objective is to strengthen bilateral relations institutional capacity in support of the above mentioned sectors goals.

StuNed for Master Degree Programmes
Main requirements to apply:
  • be an Indonesian national;
  • have earned a S1 or Bachelor's degree or its equivalent at a recognized university in Indonesia; be able to provide evidence of the academic achievements (minimum G.P.A. score 2.75):
  • relevant work experience for at least two years;
  • have an academic or professional background that is related to the subject of the course;
  • be full time available for the entire period of the study programme or course and be able to participate in and complete all courses;
  • IBT TOEFL 79/80 or IELTS 6 
  • be admitted to one of the courses or programmes offered by Institutes of Higher Education in the Netherlands for the academic year 2012;
  • no age limit, but priority will be given to mid-career professionals.

Eligible study programmes
The eligible master courses can be accessed in www.studyfinder.nl. The duration of the Master courses is up to two years with the maximum tuition fee of EUR 15,000 per year.

StuNed for In Country Short Course

In-country short course is one of StuNed modalities that target applicants who plan to upgrade their knowledge and skills through courses provided by the Indonesian-based Dutch training providers. The courses are conducted in English or Bahasa Indonesia as the languages of instructions.
All applicants should be admitted to one of the courses offered by the training provider prior to submitting the StuNed scholarship application to Nuffic Neso Indonesia. The  deadline for StuNed application is one month before the starting of each course.
MDF Pacific Indonesia, a Dutch training provider based in Bali, Indonesia, delivers various management short courses that are conducted in English or Bahasa Indonesia. Further information on the course schedule can be accessed in MDF Pacific-Indonesia website: www.mdf.nl/mdf-pi

StuNed for Tailor-Made Training Programmes
Institutions, consortia and functional networks (hereafter called institutions/networks) may submit a collective application for staff upgrading. Training needs can consist of existing master courses (including the Dutch part of a double degree programmes) and short courses or tailor made programmes.
Priority will be given to the Indonesian partner organisations of the Dutch Embassy. Institutions and other organization related to the development sectors which are mentioned in the Multi-Annual Policy Framework are also eligible.
Tailor made programmes are defined as short courses of which the starting date, location and/or time frame is adjusted to the institutions requirements. The programme may take place entirely or partly in Indonesia or the Netherlands.

Mengejar Beasiswa: Belanda - VU Fellowship Programme

The VU Fellowship Programme (VUFP) offers talented prospective students the unique opportunity to pursue a degree in a selection of Master’s programmes at VU University. VU University has committed to providing approximately 1 million euro towards attracting highly motivated, excellent students.


All applications received  by  1 March will be reviewed by the faculty at which the applicant will be participating in a Master’s programme. Faculties then nominate applicants to the central VUFP scholarship committee, which then awards scholarships to the most talented students. The award is based on the motivation letter, the quality of previous education and the student's academic performance therein. A scholarship offer will then be made to successful candidates.

Eligible candidates
The VU Fellowship Programme (VUFP) is a scholarship for strongly motivated students with excellent study results. 

Eligible candidates must be able to prove their academic excellence, must be admitted to a preselected Master’s degree at VU University, do not have the Dutch nationality and have not graduated from a Dutch higher education programme.

Students following a one-year Master’s programme may not apply for the VUFP scholarship for a second year.  Students already enrolled in a two-year Master’s programme who have not been awarded  a VUFP scholarship in 2012/2013 are not eligible to apply for the VUFP scholarship 2013/2014.


Scholarships amounts
The VUFP scholarship covers your tuition fee, and provides for an allowance towards study and living costs (paid out in 3 installments over the year).  Please note that the scholarship does not cover all your living expenses.
 There are two variations of the VUFP scholarship:

The grant is awarded to students in their first year  of a Master’s degree programme. Only students following a 2-year Master’s programme may apply for a second year and the prerequisite for a second application is the achievement of  at least 80% of the 60 possible credits. The Faculty VUFP committee will be asked to demonstrate to the Central VUFP committee that these credits have indeed been achieved.

How to apply
Fill out the VUFP application form. The form must contain the following items: 
1. Proof of excellence: GPA/proof top 10 of your class 
2. Motivation Letter 
3. Financial Plan 
Save the completed application form as a PDF-file and name it ‘Studentnumber – programme that applies to you’. For example ‘S2500000 – Computer Science’. Attach the application form in an email.

Send your completed application to VUFP@vu.nl. Be sure to mention in the subject line ‘VUFP application (programme that applies to you)’. For example ‘VUFP application (Computer Science)’.
Please keep in mind that only completed application forms will be taken into consideration. If the form does not contain all three required documents your application will not be taken into consideration. Deadline for completing your VUFP application is 1 March 2013.

Current VUFP scholars
VUFP scholars following a two year Master’s programme do not need to re-apply for the VUFP scholarship for the second year. The VUFP scholar will be nominated for a second year provided that he or she has obtained at least 80% of all ECTS. Faculties will inform the VUFP committee in June if sufficient results have been achieved.

VUFP candidates will receive an e-mail from the Central VUFP committee before 1 July 2013 containing a nomination letter, the conditions of the VUFP scholarship and a statement of agreement. Candidates return the signed statement of agreement to vufp@vu.nl.

Students who have not achieved sufficient study results will be informed that they will not be offered the VUFP scholarship for the next academic year.

Radboud Scholarship in short

The Radboud Scholarship Programme offers a selected number of talented prospective non-EEA students the opportunity to receive a scholarship to pursue a complete English-taught Master's degree programme at Radboud University Nijmegen (of one or two whole years). The Radboud Scholarship Programme is very selective and is only intended for talented students who have obtained outstanding study results and are highly motivated to pursue a Master's degree programme at Radboud University.

Duration and level of the scholarships

Each year 20 Radboud Scholarships are awarded to selected talented non-EEA students for the duration of a Master's degree programme. This means that the duration of the scholarship can vary: a one-year scholarship for a one-year programme and a two-year scholarship for a two-year programme.
The scholarship is not an amount of money that you will receive on your bank account but consists of a partial tuition waiver. The tuition fee will be waived to the level of an EEA student. Example: a grant holder in 2012/2013 pays a tuition fee of only  € 1,771,  instead of € 9,100, € 10,200 or € 16,450. In addition the Radboud Scholarship also covers costs such as for visa, residence permit,  health insurance and liability insurance.
In case of a two-year programme: to qualify for the grant during the second year, you need to have passed all courses in the first year.

Application procedure

You apply for a Radboud Scholarship by indicating during your Master's application for admission that you wish to apply for a Radboud Scholarship. The application for  admission and the application for the scholarship is fully integrated, there is no separate procedure for the scholarship.
The Selection Committee of the Radboud Scholarship Programme will select the grant recipients, based on the nominations the committee receives from the examination boards of the respective master's programmes. You will be informed about the final decision with respect to your application for a Radboud Scholarship before 1 June 2013.

Documents required for Radboud Scholarship

All the documents required for the application for admission are required to be eligible for a Radboud Scholarship. 
These include:
  • Indicate on your Master's application form that you wish to be eligible for a Radboud Scholarship
  • Letter of motivation for the Master's degree programme
  • Documents required after official admission: legally certified translations in English of your diplomas and transcripts by an officially recognised translator
In addition we need two letters of recommendation and a curriculum vitae

Eligibility requirements

Candidates who want to become eligible for a Radboud Scholarship must meet the requirements for eligibility. This means that applicants should: 
1. hold a non-EU/EEA passport and should not already be eligible for the lower EEA tuition fee. 
2. have been fully admitted to the English-taught Master's degree programme by the Student Affairs Office as stated in the formal letter of admission on behalf of the Executive Board. 
3. be able to comply with the conditions for obtaining a visa for the Netherlands. 
4. have been enrolled at Radboud University as a full-time student for the academic year and Master's degree programme for which the scholarship will be awarded.

Selection criteria

From the eligible candidates the Radboud Scholarship holders will be selected based on the following criteria:
1. Talent: this means that they have outstanding study results in their present field of study; 
2. Expected to be promising students in their desired field of study at Radboud University; 
3. Proven academic quality and good results of their prior education for example through grades, test scores, publications;
4. Supported by two letters of recommendation; 
5. Motivation: based on the motivation letter.

Mengejar Beasiswa: Jerman - The BIGSSS Ph.D. Program

The BIGSSS Ph.D. Program:

Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS) invites applications to its Ph.D. program. The program will commence on September 1st, 2013.

Successful applicants for our Ph.D. fellowships will pursue a topic in one of BIGSSS' three Thematic Fields:

Field A: Global Governance and Regional Integration

Field B: Welfare State, Inequality and Quality of Life

Field C: Changing Lives in Changing Socio-Cultural Contexts

Applicants are asked to apply with their own research project broadly related to one of the three thematic fields.

However, against the background of foci of current research initiatives within the BIGSSS faculty, this year we additionally welcome applications that touch upon the following themes:
  • Social Cohesion (Field B and C)
  • Transnational social policy (Field A and B)
  • The future of the middle class (Field B)
  • Carrier groups of internationalized rule (Field A)
  • Cross-National / Cross-Cultural Comparisons (Field C)
All fellows are expected to choose Bremen as their place of residence.

Financial Support:

BIGSSS offers 15 Ph.D. stipends of 1300 Euros/month for 36 months, contingent on successful completion of each year. To support its Ph.D. fellows in achieving early scientific independence, it also provides funds for conducting, presenting and publishing research. There is no separate funding application, because all admitted applicants receive a stipend.

Admission Requirements:
  • An excellent MA degree (or national equivalents like the German "Diplom" or "Magister") in a discipline pertinent to at least one of BIGSSS' three Thematic fields (see above), i.e. in Political Science (including related degree programs in European Studies or International Relations), Sociology, Psychology, Law, Economics or Mass Communication. The degree must be completed by the end of July of the year of application, which means you may apply before having finished your MA degree.
  • English proficiency as described in the application materials section below.
  • Additionally BIGSSS offers 2 Preparatory Fellowships to particularly talented BA Graduates. Please refer to Predoctoral Fellowships to find out more about the program.
